My Cherry & Brown Sugar Cookies are nice and cakey. They’re quite addicting actually.
- 1 Cup Dark Brown Sugar (Firmly Packed)
- 1 Cup Unsalted Butter (Softened)
- 2 Eggs (Room Temperature)
- 1/2 Cup Sour Cream
- 3 Cups Unbleached Flour
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
- 1/4 Teaspoon Ground Cloves
- 1 Cup Dried Cherries
- 1 Cup Golden Raisins
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper or grease with butter. Set aside.
- In large-size bowl beat together sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs and sour cream. Beat until creamy.
- In medium-size bowl combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, kosher salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Gradually add flour mixture to sugar mixture. Beat until well combined. Stir in dried cherries and golden raisins.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets. Place in oven and bake 8 to 10 minutes until lightly browned. Remove from oven. Transfer to cooling racks and cool completely.
