The best Eataly that I’ve been to was in Rome, but the one in New York City is nice too. It’s usually full of tourists taking photos, but it’s still fun to take a little trip to see what products are available. Today I was there looking for a special Italian salami that, unfortunately, they didn’t have. May of the fresh items looked delicious and the breads are made on premises.
I hadn’t seen this little empanada cart before. It was near the main library on 5th Avenue and oh so cute. I couldn’t believe that the empanadas were only $2. That’s a bargain for New York City!
Here in New York City we’ve had a brutal winter. I’m so happy that spring is here at last. Farm to Table Leeks oh my! Bring on the spring and summer produce!
Many mornings I walk by this sweet French restaurant and love watching people drinking their coffees and eating a croissant or two.
Last week I met my wonderful Chinese friend, Su, in her neighborhood of Flushing. Su took me to a great dim sum lunch and then showed me around the various markets and restaurant supply stores. I can’t believe that I actually picked up squeeze bottles for 50 cents each. I had such a good time that I’m planning on going back to do more shopping.
