Grown-Up Grilled Cheese Tiny New York Kitchen Style is not your ordinary grilled cheese; this one is filled with Gruyère, bacon, and pickles. Pair it with your favorite soup for a satisfying lunch or supper.
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 8 Slices Bread Of Choice
- 10 Ounces Gruyère Cheese (Sliced)
- 4 Teaspoons Dijon Mustard
- 8 Slices Cooked Bacon
- 8 Slices Kosher Dill Pickle
- Brush one side of each bread slice with olive oil. Turn slices over and spread each with mustard. Place half of the cheese on 4 of the bread slices. Top evenly with bacon and pickles and then remaining cheese. Top each sandwich with one of the remaining bread slices, oiled side up.
- Preheat large-size skillet over a medium-high heat. Working in batches, place sandwiches in pan and cook 2 to 3 minutes per side until bread is golden brown and cheese has melted. Remove from heat and cut in half.
- Serve immediately.
