Pilsner and Old Bay seasoning deliver lots of flavor to quick cooking shrimp.

  • 2 Cups Water
  • 24 Ounces Pilsner Beer (2 Bottles)
  • 5 Garlic Cloves (Smashed)
  • 3 Tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning (Divided)
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 1 Lemon (Scrubbed)
  • 1 1/2 Pounds Raw, Peeled, Deveined Extra-Large Shrimp (Thaw If Frozen)
  • 1/4 Cup Unsalted Butter (Melted)
  1. In large-size pot add water, beer, garlic, 2 tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning, and bay leaves. Squeeze juice of lemon into pot and then add squeezed lemon halves. Turn heat to high and bring to boil.
  2. Reduce heat to a simmer. Add shrimp, place lid, and cook 5 to 6 minutes until cooked through. Reserve 1/4 cup of cooking liquid. Drain shrimp, throwing away garlic and bay leaves. Transfer shrimp to serving bowl or platter. Sprinkle shrimp with remaining 1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning.
  3. In medium-size bowl combine butter and reserved cooking liquid.
  4. Serve butter mixture with shrimp for dipping.
  5. Serves 4
