The balance of savory ricotta and bright citrus results in a moist, not-too-sweet, but incredibly flavorful cake you’ll love.
- 1 1/2 Cups Unbleached Flour
- 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
- 3/4 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 3 Large Eggs (Room Temperature)
- 1 1/2 Cups Whole Milk Ricotta Cheese
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter (Melted And Cooled)
- 1 Cup Sugar
- Zest Of 1 Orange
- Juice Of 1 Orange
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease 9-inch spring form pan. Set aside.
- In large-size bowl combine flour, baking powder, and kosher salt.
- In another large-size bowl combine eggs, ricotta, vanilla, butter, sugar, orange zest, and orange juice.
- Add flour mixture and fold gently until just combined. Pour batter into prepared cake pan.
- Place in oven for 45 to 50 minutes until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and cool on wire rack.
