You may want to make extra to keep for salads that you eat throughout the week. Make sure to use real maple syrup.

  • 1/3 Cup Maple Syrup
  • 2 Tablespoons Finely Minced Shallots
  • 2 Tablespoons Finely Chopped Basil
  • 3 Tablespoons Whole Grain Dijon Mustard
  • 2 Tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Freshly Ground Pepper
  1. In medium-size bowl combine maple syrup, minced shallots, chopped basil, mustard, and red wine vinegar. Whisk in olive oil. Add red pepper flakes, kosher salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Transfer to serving container and serve over your favorite salads.
  3. Makes About 1/2 Cup
