Just because Labor Day is behind us don’t put away your grill just yet. This is an easy and delicious weekend dish. Remember, whatever you can do on a grill you can do in a grill pan in the oven.
Labor Day Weekend is here which means it’s the official “end of summer.” Friends will be firing up their grills this weekend grilling the usual steaks and burgers. Here is a great grilled chicken recipe for your long weekend holiday. Remember that if you don’t have a grill you can cook these chicken breasts in a grill pan.
I’m not a beer drinker, but I swear most anything brined in beer tastes delicious. Remember, as always, if you don’t have a grill then go get yourself a grill pan.
Enjoy the harvest of corn this summer. I like to cook my corn on the grill, but remember that if you don’t have a grill then just use a grill pan. You can place corn on the grill over indirect heat with the husks intact or pulled back. Corn in the husks will take about twice the time to cook. You can also peel and remove the husks and wrap the ears in foil. One of the advantages of grilling corn in the husks is that when they’re ready to come off the grill and cool off a bit it makes shucking easier.
If you don’t have a grill then cook these zucchini in a grill pan. When I’m in my New York apartment I “grill” everything in my grill pan.
Savor sweet, juicy peaches this summer cooked on the grill. Showcase this healthy dessert with a nice sweet & tangy sauce. You may serve with frozen yogurt or fresh berries.
I grill romaine so it makes sense to me to grill radicchio. The slight char from the grill is excellent with radicchio’s bitterness. The radicchio softens and wilts from the heat, taking on a bit of smoke flavor. You may also use a heavy grill pan on your stovetop. Use the grilled radicchio as a simple salad topped with this Creamy Anchovy Dressing.
Mexican Street Corn (called elote) is an addictive side dish that’s perfect for July 4th. There are many versions of elote, a typical Mexican Street Corn dish consists of fresh corn boiled in the husk and then grilled to achieve that delicious charred flavor. Still hot, the corn is rolled in mayonnaise and Cotja cheese and then sprinkled with spices like cayenne pepper. Topped with fresh squeezed lime juice, the elote is ready to be devoured.
