Summer baking at it’s best. Juicy and ripe red plums are just waiting to give you a beautiful summer dessert.
I often make these free-form galettes with whatever fruit that I have sitting around. If you have other berries that you’d like to use then go right ahead.
Have a bumper crop of summer squash already? Many people ask me what they should do with all that squash and I have to admit that one starts to run out of ideas. Make a summer squash salad with delicious crispy shallots. Summer, of course, is about lightening things up a bit and there’s nothing better than a tasty summer salad.
Charred Jalapeño and basil oil upgrade this simple summer salad.
There are some vegetables that I just can’t get enough of and, for me; I’ve never met a green bean that I didn’t fall in love with. When I was a kid I even used to eat them straight out of the can. I’ve been having so much fun playing around with my ice cream maker and experimenting with different recipes. What to do with all of those plums? Make sorbet with them. I love this recipe.
This is a rather tart, but refreshing pie. I just used a single crust, but you may use a double as directed in this recipe.
