You may want to make extra to keep for salads that you eat throughout the week. Make sure to use real maple syrup.
- 1/3 Cup Maple Syrup
 - 2 Tablespoons Finely Minced Shallots
 - 2 Tablespoons Finely Chopped Basil
 - 3 Tablespoons Whole Grain Dijon Mustard
 - 2 Tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
 - 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
 - 1/8 Teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
 - 1/2 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
 - 1/8 Teaspoon Freshly Ground Pepper
 
- In medium-size bowl combine maple syrup, minced shallots, chopped basil, mustard, and red wine vinegar. Whisk in olive oil. Add red pepper flakes, kosher salt, and pepper. Mix well.
 - Transfer to serving container and serve over your favorite salads.
 - Makes About 1/2 Cup
